The company
A Lakeland contractor that lives on the right-of-way.
Midwestern Construction Inc. was founded in 2001, continuing a family construction business. We are an FDOT-prequalified firm working for the Department, counties, cities, and utilities statewide.
The office and shop are in Lakeland. Crews work Florida corridors — medians, ponds, fences, sidewalks, and the vegetation that has to stay off the travel lane. That is the work we bid, staff, and inspect against.
Principal Frank Pollard holds Florida Certified General Contractor license CGC 1515248. Field staff train in fertilizer, pesticide, arboriculture, and illicit-discharge awareness so a mowing ticket does not become a compliance problem.
We are not a design-build marketer and we are not a residential lawn service. If the plans call for Bahia, palmettos, a ditch grade, and MOT on a live state road, that is our job.
